Information
Emergence brings together decades of architectural research from the Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship in an interactive exhibition and a series of public talks. Established in 1951, the scholarship is based on the belief that travel for architects, students and graduates is key to developing exciting new architectural ideas and continuing strong discourse throughout the profession.
Drawing on this deep trove of knowledge, Emergence showcases 35 unique projects dispersed across a field of research ‘fragments’. We encourage you to move amongst this assemblage, traversing a constellation of seemingly disparate ideas to find moments of overlap or friction.
We invite you to dwell, browse and engage with the array of digital and physical resources presented in parallel to the fragment field. These resources have been selected by each contributor to offer a window into the vast body of architectural knowledge generated through the scholarship.
